Suspension

The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine the ease with which you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is vital as babies can feel every bump on the road, particularly if it's in rough terrain such as grass or dirt roads. Some models also come with front wheels that lock to assist with maneuvering and getting over obstacles such as curbs.

Certain models come with air-filled tyres which are ideal for all-terrain riding, however they are susceptible to punctures. Be sure to keep an extra set of tyres in your trunk. Other models use gel or foam tyres, which are designed to take the bumps and can be less prone to punctures however, you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back should you decide to run.

Folding

A three-wheel double buggy could be folded neatly to store it. There are options that fold flat and stand up (as as if they were in a pushchair) and also ones that pop out to reveal a more umbrella-style fold with the option of a brake operated by hand. In general, the more wheels a buggy has the more able it will be to navigate over rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than typical size. You will have more stability and it's less likely that you will be forced to tip over or flip your child.

If you're looking to jog with your kids, this is the best double buggie for jogging because it comes with a lockable swivel front wheel that helps you stay in control when tackling hilly or off-road tracks.
